Coming Home

These boots came home.  They will no longer walk on the dusty roads of a hostile foreign country.

This flag that was once flown over a small American base in a foreign desert will now only fly above an American desert home.
My soldier will no longer walk the dusty trails of a dangerous country.  He will walk the trails of his beloved homeland desert when he explores.  He will no longer ride in a Humvee, but in his own Jeep in his own country, having the freedom to go where he wishes.
He will no longer have to jump out of an airplane, but only jump off cliffs into a lake of cool water.
And finally, instead of worrying about whether he would live or die, he can now worry about the new life that he has created.

My soldier is finally home.
