Another day for Spring Break, Wyatt, me and the girls went over to the State Capitol.
It was very interesting. We went there in 8th grade for our legislature trip, but I don't remember it
at all. I enjoyed seeing some antique medical equipment, including anesthesia (basically ether and a gauze pad that was placed over the patient's mouth). There was another contraption that forced
clean air into a miner's lungs---YIKES!! There was also some kind of elixir that was good
for all kinds of ailments from warts to asthma--SCARY!!
The girls enjoyed watching me come around a corner and unsuspectingly seeing this...Arizona's first Governor. Gov. George W.P. Hunt.
