Just returned from the valley to visit with family. Dad is doing great. He is getting around just fine. The day before the girls and I left Lori and I and kids to him to a doctor's appointment, lunch at Chevy's, the mall to round up the kids (and he didn't want to just wait in the car he wanted to go in) then to sams club to ride the little rascal. He did well in fact Lori, Mom and I were worn out but he still wanted to go. So we thought we had sent him home with mother and come to find out they made a stop at Walmart. Needless to say that he ate and slept good that night. I think that he is getting his body into a routine of emptying and changing bags. In fact, the day I left they called the Home Health nurse and told her not to come anymore because his family was doing everything that she would be doing and we could save the expense. Basically she would come and just talk because his bags would have already been changed and he was cleaned and dressed for the day.
Mom seems in good spirits and handling things well. She gets tired at times but overall I feel she has been great.
It was good to see Becky and her little belly and Paula. I think that it tremendously lifts dad's spirits to have such a supportive family. I missed seeing Aunt Bunny this time, but was able to visit with her in the hospital in Showlow as she keeps a vigil eye on dad. Bryan will head down there this Friday with family following later the next week. Bryan will drive mom and dad back to Snowflake to hopefully get things together and come to Utah.
See ya,
Lenay
