Our Home

This is our home and neighborhood. Although we live wayyyyyyyyy out here, we love it. I wish the kids had some friends that were closer so they could just walk over. That is the only drawback. We have lived here just over a year. They are building a Fry's down the street along with some strip mall things and Kelli and Rhett are both so excited to work close to home, if they can get a job. There is also plans in the future to build a Banner Hospital out here somewhere. It takes Wyatt about 30 minutes to drive into work each morning but he says that he loves the commute because it gives him some time to think (I am hoping that one of these commutes he is going to invent something that will make us wealthy).

Wyatt just called this morning and told me that his dad was punched in the back of the head last night while he was working (he takes high risk people in to the psychiatric hospital during crises and that's just a night job). That scares me. Some people don't want to willingly go.

What is this life all about? We all work our fingers to the bone all our lives and then what? Die right after we retire? It's all about today. Letting the people you love know you love them TODAY. Not tomorrow, not after they apologize first, not after they go a semester with good grades, but today. Today is the time to spend with family, to overlook their faults and just love them. We go to work every day but that doesn't mean that our lives have to be our work. We can start living when we get home from work (that's usually when we are the most exhausted).

I wish I could live with no regrets. Boy that is a big New Year's resolution!!!!
